As mentioned above, the material construction is notable: each “University Blue” piece uses a supple suede, a vast divergence from the AJ1’s standard full leather construction. Black is the final color of the trifecta, gracing Swooshes, laces and collars alike. Light sky blue appears on mudguards, eyestays, collar flaps and heel pieces, all atop a crisp white on toeboxes, quarters and throats. Although the hues differ of course, the “University Blue” upper features an Air Jordan 1 “Chicago”-style colorblocking setup.
